PS5 Cosmic red and midnight black
Sony has announced its first new colors for PlayStation five’s DualSense controller: a “cosmic crimson” model that capabilities a -tone pink and black design, and an all-black “nighttime black” model that brings to mind the conventional PS2, PS3, and PS4 controller designs.
Until now, Sony has simplest provided the DualSense controller in a black-and-white color scheme to match the PS5 (which capabilities a comparable contrasting theme), so the brand new color options are clearly welcome ones.

The midnight black option is specifically outstanding: the generally white DualSense became a massive departure for Sony’s designs, which have largely trended in the direction of black and grey consoles and controllers via default for the whole lifestyles span of the PlayStation brand. The new black alternative (technically nonetheless a -tone design, with two exceptional shades of black) is towards those other controllers, though.

Right now, Sony has best introduced new colors for the controller, although the PlayStation 5 console does characteristic removable faceplates — so it’s possible that the company should introduce matching plates for the PS5 someday inside the destiny. Enterprising corporations like Dbrand have already begun to fill that hole, even though, with their own 1/3-celebration alternatives.
The two new shade schemes have to be available to purchase sometime next month (Sony says that dates can be dependent on personal outlets). The Midnight Black color scheme will cost $69.Ninety-nine, similar to the usual DualSense controller, while the Cosmic Red will (inexplicably) cost $74.Ninety nine, a $5 increase over the opposite two shades.
Of course, all that assumes that you could discover a PS5 inside the first location — some thing that Sony admits might be difficult to do until 2022 at the earliest.
