The Far Cry series from Ubisoft went through some soul searching at first, but it has found its footing now, and fans know exactly what they're getting into when they play a Far Cry game. Despite the fact that many of the titles have a lot in common, the responses have been mixed. When you combine Metacritic and Internet Games Database scores, it's clear that Far Cry is one of the most well-received games in the industry. It does, however, contain some of the worst games ever produced.

Far Cry Instincts: Evolution, the ill-fated Wii adaptation, is rated the worst Far Cry game by reviewers. Though several applauded Ubisoft's iconic FPS's implementation of motion controls, the choppy graphics, and long-running issues eliminated any possibility of a fun Far Cry adaption for Wii. The videogame was almost unanimously lambasted for being a sloppy transfer to Nintendo's new machine, and it created some genuine concern for gamers who were unclear of what the Wii could achieve.
11. Far Cry New Dawn: Score 72.5 out of 100.

Far Cry New Dawn failed to thrill critics in the same manner that earlier installments in the franchise had. This is mostly due to the fact that the title, like Far Cry 5, is set 17 years after a nuclear disaster. One would expect that change would provide gamers with a plethora of new options in a familiar setting, but this is not totally true. Despite the opportunity to drastically modify the environment and gameplay to reflect this bold new direction, players were presented with much of the same as they had in Far Cry 5, although with a fresh coat of post-apocalyptic paint.
10. Far Cry Instincts: Predator: Score 74 out of 100.

Far Cry Instincts: Predator for Xbox 360 is a visually upgraded version of Far Cry Instincts and Far Cry Instincts: Evolution. The game included some amazing multiplayer and map authoring abilities, but generally, it was the same stuff that gamers had seen on prior platforms. Without anything to entice people who had previously loved Instincts on Xbox, the game was primarily appealing to those who had recently purchased an Xbox 360 and had no prior experience with Far Cry or those who loved map building.

Far Cry Primal is aimed to reshape the franchise by transporting players to primordial eras. Players will utilize primitive tools to combat terrifying monsters, explore the untamed, endless wilderness, and discover how to survive at the bottom of the food chain in the Stone Age. The game's new environment impressed gamers and critics, but in terms of gameplay, it was more of the same Far Cry experience that gamers had gotten accustomed to.

Far Cry Instincts: Evolution is a short story add-on for Far Cry Instincts (or, by today's standards, DLC). As many reviews wished for a true sequel, the game was reasonably priced for the smaller adventure, and it kept gamers entertained while they awaited the next installment in the series. Far Cry Instincts: Evolution continued where its predecessor left off, with additional online game types.

Far Cry 5 provided a fun yet familiar experience for gamers. Critics were eager to point out how much they liked exploring Montana in Far Cry 5 and getting caught in the whirlwind of open-world activities and map events. 1. Far Cry 3: Score 89.8 out of 100.

| Far Cry 3 game has been ranked |
Far Cry 3 is the highest-rated Far Cry title, and it sits at the top of the list. Far Cry 3 raised the bar for open-world games and established a strong foundation for the genre as a whole. Look no farther than titles like Marvel's Spider-Man and Cyberpunk 2077 to witness Far Cry 3's effect on the industry. Large wide environments, a plethora of quests and activities scattered throughout the countryside; it's all straight out of Far Cry 3. The compelling plot and interesting characters wowed critics, but the great, gratifying gameplay had them coming back for more.
Far Cry 3 is still a fan favorite, but that might change. The imminent release of Far Cry 6, with its superb voice cast and promised new features, has the potential to revolutionize everything. For the time being, fans have more than enough entries in the renowned brand to keep them entertained.
