Horizon Forbidden West's Aloy is coming to Genshin Impact. For a limited time, she will be a free 5-star character for players. Aloy will be added to Genshin Impact from the Horizon games.

Horizon Zero Dawn's and Horizon Forbidden West's protagonist will be a 5-star character, putting her in the top rank of the roster.

She will be available for free to all players with an Adventure Rank of 20 or higher, with PlayStation owners having early access to her.

There hasn't been much information released about Aloy's role in the game, with the official Genshin Impact site now only providing her backstory.

Aloy will be released in two stages. The first will begin in September with the release of Version 2.1 and will conclude on October 13 with the release of Version 2.2 maintenance.

During this time, any player with an Adventure Rank of 20 or higher who logs into the game on PlayStation 4(PS4) or PlayStation 5(PS5) will receive Aloy via in-game mail.

The second wave begins when Version 2.2 is released and ends when Version 2.3 maintenance begins on November 24.

Aloy will be available through in-game mail for players on all other platforms (as well as PS4 and PS5 gamers who haven't claimed her yet) during the second wave.

Guerrilla announced Horizon: Forbidden West for PS5 in June 2020, followed by a PS4 version in September.

The company presented about 14 minutes of Horizon Forbidden West gameplay in May, but there was no word on the game's release date, causing some to speculate that it might not be released in 2021.

“We don't have a specific release date just yet, but work is on pace, and we will have an update for you very soon,” Guerrilla tweeted after the gameplay demo.
