The Company of Heroes fans is excited because a Twitch video from Relic Entertainment seems to indicate that a new game is coming and now it's in development.

Company of Heroes is a real-time strategy video game released in 2006 developed by Relic Entertainment and published by THQ for Microsoft Windows and OS X. It was the first game to bear the Games for Windows branding. Company of Heroes is set during WWII and has two playable forces. Players try to capture important resource areas placed all over the map, which they could use to develop base infrastructure, build different units, and beat their rivals. 

Relic Entertainment seems to be promoting the next sequel in its popular Company of Heroes franchise.

The developer seems to be hinting at a new project via a cryptic stream on Relic Entertainment's Twitch account. Whereas the actual teaser video makes no mention of Company of Heroes, an aerial image of Italy via a grainy, black-and-white filter hints at a return to the World War II real-time strategy franchise.

To further tease fans, a countdown in the lower-left corner of the screen is presently ticking and will finish at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST. When the countdown reaches 0, a trailer for the game will most likely be released.

While fans of the Company of Heroes franchise believe a whole new game will be released, the broadcast might potentially be teasing an expansion for Company of Heroes 2. While the second game in the franchise premiered in 2013, it has gotten regular minor improvements since then. The most recent significant expansion was released in 2018. It is unlikely, but given the limited inevitable consequence, it cannot be ruled out.
