Dragon Age 4 is likely on schedule for a 2023 release. According to another report, Bioware's Fantasy RPG would feature live services. Dragon Age 4 is currently under development and is expected to be released in 2023.

That's according to sources familiar with BioWare's fantasy RPG who spoke to VentureBeat.

While EA declined to comment on the allegation, the publisher has previously stated that the game might be launched in 2023.

In October 2019, EA stated that the next Dragon Age game would not be released before the start of its fiscal year 2023, which begins on April 1, 2022.

EA CFO Blake Jorgensen stated, "You should anticipate that Dragon Age—out it's there, we've talked about it publicly that it's in the works—it'll probably come after fiscal 22."

In December 2020, BioWare published the first full Dragon Age 4 teaser. The development of Dragon Age 4 is likely on target for a 2023 release.

It noted at the time, "We're still in early production, but we thought it was time to offer you the very first peek at how BioWare's enthusiastic team of creators is developing this very special game."

Earlier this year, it was reported that EA has given BioWare permission to remove the planned live service aspects from Dragon Age 4, making the game solely a single-player adventure.

While VentureBeat's story confirms this, the publication also mentions that the game could still include an online multiplayer component, which was a crucial part of the previous game in the series, Dragon Age: Inquisition, released in 2014.

Dragon Age 4 and Mass Effect 4 would not be presented during the EA Play Live event on Thursday, BioWare confirmed earlier this month.

At Last night's EA showcase, a Dead Space remake, racing game Grid Legends, and Battlefield 2042's Portal mode were all shown.
