Fortnite Chapter 3 will feature Tilted Towers returning and less snow, claimed by a leaker.

According to a leaker, the snow covering Fortnite Chapter 3's map will slowly melt over time, revealing Tilted Towers, a fan favorite area.

Shortly after the release of Fortnite's latest chapter, a leaker stated that the snow covering Chapter 3's flipped map will gradually melt, revealing the return of the fan-favorite Tilted Towers location. Fortnite's Chapter 3 has opened, bringing new improvements and unique dynamics to the free-to-play battle royale. Players may now enter Fortnite's vast map with a slew of new characters, cosmetics, and game mechanics such as sliding, a new first-person ADS weapon addition, and a swinging ability to make the experience more fluid and entertaining than ever.

Tilted Towers, recognized as one of the battle royale's top points of interest and landing locations, was released to Fortnite gamers in 2018 as part of the first chapter. Tilted Towers went on to become one of Fortnite's longest-running POIs before the ultimate map modification at the beginning of Chapter 2. It was recognized as the title's most populated location before being destroyed by a volcano in Chapter 1 Season 8 due to having some of the best loot accessible on the map, as well as for its buildings that enabled convenient shelter. Despite being absent from the game for over two years, Epic Games has been teasing at the return of Fortnite's Tilted Towers for a certain period.

HYPEX, a Fortnite-focused content creator and well-known media profile on Twitter, has previewed the future of Chapter 3's map with insider allegations. While Fortnite Chapter 3's snow-covered map was recently debuted with the map flip following Chapter 2's climax, it appears that the festive snow may be melting completely mid-season 1, revealing several spots including Tilted Towers. HYPEX believes that the snow will begin melting on January 7 and will go through six different melting stages until completely evaporating and unveiling the return of Tilted Towers. While the claims are unproven, the user claims that all of the snow is supposed to melt unless Epic Games changes the next patch.

That supposedly melting snow is one of a few new modifications and features that are scheduled to be included in Fortnite Chapter 3's brand-new battlefield. During the Chapter 3 overview film, Epic Games demonstrated new weather and environmental effects, including lightning and tornadoes that may drag players into them. It's unclear when these new features will be added, but the recent announcement of Fortnite's development transferring entirely to Unreal Engine 5 could indicate that they'll be available faster than planned.

The newest season of the popular battle royale is off to a promising start, and the return of one of the game's most popular locations might make it one of the most popular in the game's history. If the leak is accurate, Fortnite Chapter 3's snow is expected to melt in the next weeks, thus Epic will most likely make an official announcement about the major improvements to the brand-new map shortly.

Fortnite is available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox One S, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and PC.
