Cyberpunk 2077 PS5 version spotted on PSN, indicating an upcoming release.

The PlayStation 5 version of Cyberpunk 2077 has reportedly been found in the PlayStation network backend, implying that the long-awaited new-gen release is on the way.

According to @PlayStationSize, a Twitter account that analyzes the size of upcoming titles' installs, this is the case.

The account tweeted a new key art image for Cyberpunk 2077 on Sunday, that seems to be a new cover image for the game's PlayStation 5 edition. Researching for the image on the internet, shows no results, suggesting that this is the image that will show on the dashboard for the game's next generation.

CD Projekt announced in November that the new-gen versions of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 were "on track" to hit their release dates.

The games' new-gen editions were supposed to come out in 2021, but both Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt were delayed to 2022 in October, with the former coming in the first quarter and the latter in the second.

CD Projekt stated both releases "are on track to fulfill their targeted dates" in its quarterly financial results released in November.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released as a standalone title as well as a free next-gen update for current-gen owners.

DLC items inspired by the Netflix series will be included in the new-gen edition of Witcher, which is being created externally by Saber Interactive.

It will be available as a single purchase for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5, as well as a free update for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 users.
