The Pokémon Company has announced that there will be a new Pokémon Presents presentation this weekend.

The presentation will begin at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET / 2 p.m. GMT / 11 p.m. Japan time on Sunday, February 27.

The presentation will last 14 minutes, according to the official Japanese Pokémon Twitter account. However, no details on what will be displayed during the presentation have been provided.

The 27th of February is known as Pokémon Day because it is the anniversary of the release of Pokémon Red and Green in Japan in 1996.

There are currently no Pokémon games in the main series planned. Since the announcement of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and Pokémon Legends: Arceus, The Pokémon Company has gone thus long without revealing what it's working on.

It's possible that the next generation of Pokémon games may be revealed at Pokémon Day. Pokémon Sword and Shield kicked off Generation 8.

According to a new job posting for Creatures Inc., the creator of the second Detective Pikachu game, the game is still in development.

A programmer known only as 'KT' says he is "working on the sequel to Detective Pikachu, programming the drawing area, while also building a system in the Environment Development Office that will serve as the foundation for future game production in general" on Creatures Inc's recruitment website.

Some Pokémon fans will be relieved by the news, as details on the sequel to the 3DS original have been scarce since it was announced three years ago.
