PS Plus Subscribers in Asia Get a Separate Free Game. Ark: Survival Evolved will be replaced by another title in the PS Plus portfolio for March for Asian subscribers.

The end of each month is usually one of the most exciting moments for subscribers to Sony's popular PlayStation Plus program, as the company announces the next batch of free titles that will be available on the service. The most recent PS Plus announcement included a slew of big-name games for PS Plus members, with AAA titles like Team Sonic Racing and Ghost of Tsushima: Legends announced to be free for PS Plus subscribers in March. However, depending on their location, some subscribers will notice minor variances in their free game lineup.

Variations in free game rosters based on a user's region are nothing new for the platform since titles available for free through PlayStation Plus have frequently differed by region in the past. The popular Persona 5 Strikers was announced for January's free game lineup, only for Saudi Arabian customers to receive 505 Games' How to Survive 2 instead. Such swaps are frequent for PS Plus, and they will continue in March, with subscribers in Asia seeing the already announced Ark: Survival Evolved replaced by 505's Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.

The official announcement, made on Wednesday, showed the switched games with PlayStation Asia, confirming the March line-up of PS Plus games, with Ark conspicuously absent. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons' inclusion on PS Plus in March will be the game's second free-to-play distribution, with the Epic Games Store recently having Brothers as the platform's free game for last week. PlayStation Asia made no comment on Ark's absence from the PS Plus lineup for March.

Many fans were surprised and irritated by Ark's absence from PlayStation Asia's PS Plus lineup. Along with its inclusion in PS Plus for areas other than Asia, Ark's Ultimate Survivor edition was also featured in the Xbox Title Pass lineup for February, and the game recently received the Lost Island DLC in December. While Brothers is a less well-known addition to the lineup, the adventure game that follows two brothers on a quest to rescue their father's life was well-received by both fans and critics.

Along with the usual selection of titles for March, Sony has included a few additional bonuses in the upcoming month's PS Plus offers. In addition to the previously mentioned additional inclusion of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, Rockstar revealed that PS Plus customers will be able to unlock GTA Online for free for three months following the platform's transition to a standalone title on March 15. While many Asian fans will be disappointed by Ark's omission, March's PS Plus selection should keep many fans happy throughout the month.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is now available for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and mobile platforms.
