The Russian foreign minister claims that the west is considering Nuclear War.

One week after Moscow launched its invasion of Ukraine, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accuses Western politicians of considering nuclear war.

"I'd like to point out that the thought of a nuclear war is continually spinning in the heads of Western politicians, but not in the heads of Russians," Lavrov said in an interview with Russian and foreign media.

President Vladimir Putin ordered Russian nuclear deterrent forces to be placed on high alert in the early days of the invasion. The alert indicates that Russia's nuclear weapons are ready to fire at any time.

"As a result, I guarantee you that we will not be thrown off balance by any provocations," Lavrov continued.

He also compared the US to Napoleon Bonaparte, the French Emperor, and Adolf Hitler, the German tyrant.

"Both Napoleon and Hitler sought out to conquer Europe during their respective eras. It has now been conquered by the Americans "According to Lavrov.

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the country's nuclear forces to be placed on high alert on Sunday, accusing the West of conducting "unfriendly" actions against Russia.

Moscow possesses the world's greatest nuclear arsenal as well as a sizable stockpile of ballistic missiles, which serve as the backbone of its deterrence capabilities.

Last week, Putin announced an invasion of Ukraine to protect rebels in the country's east and "demilitarize and de-nazify" its pro-Western neighbor.
