The Sims 4 My Wedding Stories is now getting fixed

The Sims 4 My Wedding Stories is now getting fixed.
EA is launching two patch upgrades to address issues identified by players in the game's most recent expansion pack on The Sims 4 My Wedding Stories.

My Wedding Stories, a new game pack for The Sims 4, was released a few weeks ago by EA. Fans of the long-running game were excited about all the new features and features that My Wedding Stories will bring to The Sims 4 even before it was released on February 23rd. However, shortly after its release, players began reporting a slew of gameplay bugs, forcing EA to respond.

Players have reported concerns such as Sims not walking down the aisle, guests arriving in unsuitable dress, guests engaging in inappropriate actions during the wedding, and many more. Of course, while these out-of-the-blue events may be amusing to some, they don't assist Sims players to arrange the wedding of their dreams. The game developers disclosed several days ago via the official Sims Twitter account that they are working on a long laundry list of items to solve My Wedding Stories, which would be rolled out in an upcoming update.

Improvements to walking down the aisle, ensuring that guests dress properly, allowing Sims from both sides to attend the wedding regardless of who initiates the event, and many more will be made for the game pack. While the development team did not provide a release date for these enhancements, it did state that players should expect "two independent patch upgrades in the coming weeks, one release before of this My Wedding Stories patch of included updates."

The following are the changes that EA will add to The Sims 4 My Wedding Stories:
  • Please Take seat updates for receptions and prevent blocking of other player-directed activities
  • Walking Down the Aisle adjustments
  • Invite Sims from both sides of the wedding, regardless of which Sim is planning the event
  • Guests arrive in their proper clothing
  • Guest attire stays selected after closing and reopening Wedding Planner
  • Improvements to Sims gathering for dessert time
  • Improvements to Sims gathering around the cake
  • Improved the amount of time needed before Wedding Cakes spoil
  • Cake toppers no longer floating
  • The cake model looks correct after cutting and serving
  • Adjustments to the Passionate Kiss animation
  • San Myshuno's Myshuno Meadows Center Park appearing in the wedding venue list
  • Paired dancing improvements
The Sims 4 My Wedding Stories is now getting fixed

According to the list of changes provided above, it appears like EA is addressing every issue that has been identified by players since the introduction of The Sims 4 My Wedding Stories. While this is heartening for series fans, some were nonetheless unhappy with how EA handled the situation. It's worth noting that the game pack was launched on February 23rd, and the acknowledgment of faults and promise of a repair was announced only a week later, on February 4th.

Besides the bugs discovered in The Sims 4 My Wedding Stories, the game pack made headlines prior to its release when EA declared that it would not be published in Russia, citing the country's ban on LGBTQ content in media. However, only a few days after the announcement, EA altered its decision not to release My Wedding Stories in Russia, stating that it "realized we can achieve more than we previously imagined."

The Sims 4 is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
