Mariupol City Council reports that 40% of high-rise buildings have been completely destroyed

As a result of the Russian Federation's battle in Mariupol, 40 percent of high-rise buildings, or nearly 2 million square meters of housing, have been completely destroyed.

"Almost 84,000 Mariupol residents' homes have been completely destroyed." This equates to 40% of the high-rise buildings or approximately 2 million square meters. According to Mariupol City Council, it takes $2.3 billion to build that much housing and create at least basic living conditions.

The total cost of reconstructing the city's infrastructure has increased to $12.5 billion, according to preliminary estimates by the City Council.

Maripol Mayor Vadim Boychenko compared Russia to Nazi Germany, which seemed as powerful as the time of the USSR attacks but all the perpetrators were punished. The mayor said it would be the same for Russia.

Putin's only "special operation" that was effective was the destruction of Mariupol and the killing of civilians. In 1941, Nazi Germany seemed to be unstoppable. In the end, though, the wrong was punished. War criminals were either imprisoned or killed. The Germans have been paying reparations for decades. It will be the same with Russia. "They will cover everything," Baichenko stated emphatically.
