The vast majority of Ukrainians (91%) disagree with the idea that "Russians and Ukrainians are one country."

According to a survey taken by the Rating Sociological Group on April 6, this is the reality.

According to the survey, only 8% of people seem to believe this now (compared to 41% in August 2021 and 21% in March 2022).

The concept is still supported by 23% of those polled in eastern Ukraine, and 13% of those over the age of 65. Support for the notion is essentially non-existent in other macro-regions and age categories.

The number of people who feel that friendly relations between Ukrainians and Russians can never be rebuilt has grown 1.5 times in the last month, from 42% to 64%.

At the same time, 22% of those polled thought it will happen in the next 20 to 30 years.

Around 10% believe that such a reconciliation is achievable in the next 15 years.

More than half of those polled in southern and eastern Ukraine do not feel that goodwill between the two countries can be restored.

Except for the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas, the survey included 1,200 Ukrainians aged 18 and older from all regions. By age, gender, and type of settlement, the sample is representative. CATI is a survey method (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews). With a confidence level of 0.95, the error of representativeness is within 2.8 percent.

Russian occupiers have been bombing and destroying peaceful towns and villages across Ukraine, torturing and killing residents, since February 24, when the Russian Federation initiated a new chapter of its war against Ukraine is a full-scale invasion.
