Xbox Game Pass now includes a new Day One game as well as other additional features

Microsoft adds a new day one game to its Xbox Game Pass subscription service, as well as new cloud gaming additions.

Microsoft has officially revealed the new Xbox Game Pass games that customers may expect in the first two weeks of April 2022, after a longer than usual wait. Microsoft has already announced a few new Xbox Game Pass games for April 2022, including Cricket 22 and the brand-new MLB The Show 22. Microsoft has now expanded the Xbox Game Pass lineup even further.

Day one game Chinatown Detective Agency, a new point-and-click adventure game that will be available on consoles, PC, and the cloud, is the most prominent new addition to Xbox Game Pass. Meanwhile, early Chinatown Detective Agency reviews are out, and the feedback has been generally divided thus far. Although its aesthetics and noir plot has received accolades, it appears that several reviewers found the game tiresome and beset by technical issues.

Being an Xbox Game Pass subscriber has the advantage of allowing anyone on the fence about Chinatown Detective Agency to try it out without having to commit a large sum of money. Despite the fact that Chinatown Detective Agency is a brand-new release, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can play it for no more than the cost of their Game Pass subscription. And if one makes a habit of doing Xbox Game Pass tasks and the like on a regular basis, they may find themselves in a scenario where they aren't paying for it at all. In any event, Chinatown Detective Agency will not be the only new Xbox Game Pass title in April 2022.

  • Dragon Age 2 (Cloud)
  • Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (Cloud)
  • Star Wars: Squadrons (Cloud)

As of April 7, no additional brand-new games have been added to Xbox Game Pass, although three titles have received cloud functionality. Dragon Age 2, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, and Star Wars: Squadrons are now accessible in the cloud, after being offered in digital form only to those with PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

EA Play games like Dragon Age 2, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, and Star Wars: Squadrons aren't available to regular Game Pass subscribers. Those with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership, on the other hand, may now play these games on the move or without having to download them and take up valuable console storage space.

Looking ahead, Xbox Game Pass will be getting even more content later this month. Life is Strange: True Colors will be available on April 12, and EA Play's Lost in Random will be available on April 14.
