PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games for July may have leaked

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games for July

Some of the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games for July may have been leaked before they were formally announced.

Resetera user BlackBate claimed earlier today to have learned about "some of the games" that will be available through PlayStation Plus later this month.

BlackBate is an infrequent Resetera poster who has been identified by Push Square. He appears to have a good but spotty track record of accurately disclosing information about games before their release, including details on Death Stranding Director's Cut, Skull & Bones, and Microsoft Flight Simulator.

On July 19, which is also the game's release date for the PS5 and PC, Stray will be a part of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, it was recently confirmed.

BlackBate claims that on July 19, the following games will also be added to PlayStation Plus Premium:

  • Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade + FF7R Episode Intermission.
  • Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag.
  • Assassin’s Creed Unity.
  • Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered.
  • Assassin’s Creed Freedom Cry.
  • Assassin’s Creed The Ezio Collection.
  • Saints Row IV: Re-Elected.

Recently, Sony introduced a redesigned PlayStation Plus service with three membership tiers (Essential, Extra and Premium).

The Essential tier provides the same advantages as the previous PS Plus service, such as monthly "free" games for the PS4 and PS5, access to online multiplayer, and PS Store discounts.

Similar to Xbox Game Pass, the 400 PS4 and PS5 games available through the Extra and Premium tiers can be downloaded.

Along with time-limited game trials, the Premium tier also provides a variety of PS1, PS2, and PSP games for download and PS3 games via cloud streaming.

Every month on the first Tuesday, new PS4 and PS5 games are added to PlayStation Plus (for all membership tiers).

The PlayStation Plus titles for July are Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time (PS5/PS4), The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan (PS4), and Arcadegeddon (PS5/PS4), and you can start claiming them right away.

While Sony has stated that a new PlayStation Plus refresh will add new games to the Extra and Premium tiers in the middle of each month, it has not yet specified exactly when the first of these will take place.
