New Pokemon Wiglett is announced officially by Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

New Pokemon Wiglett for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet have been made available to the public by the Pokemon Company and game developer Game Freak. It may resemble Diglett, but it is actually a different species.

It may resemble Diglett, but it is a completely different Pokémon species. Wiglett digs up a part of its body from the sand to feed in the ocean.

Wiglett has a keen sense of smell and can detect scents more than 60 feet away. It has a nervous personality and is always wary of its surroundings. Wiglett hides itself in the sand when it detects the scent of other Pokemon.

To feed in the ocean, the wiglett excavates a portion of its body from the sand. It's still unknown what the body's remaining parts look like or how long they may be hidden beneath the sand. It has been suggested that Wiglett's similarity to Diglett may be merely coincidental—the result of its environment-adaptation.

On November 18, Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet will be released for the Switch.
