Heartbreaking Moment in Black 2 Found by Pokemon Fan

Pokemon Black 2, the final first-party game for the Nintendo DS, contains a heartbreaking but easily missed moment that a fan of the franchise discovers.

One Pokemon fan recently discovered a tragic but easily missed scene from Pokemon Black 2 online. Social media users first heard about their discovery as rumors of Pokemon Black and White remakes began to resurface.

Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 were released for the Nintendo DS ten years ago in October. According to a review score average, these two RPGs are still among the best mainline Pokemon games ever created. Because they were some of the hardest RPGs Game Freak ever released, Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 are frequently cited as the series' best entries by fans of the enduring franchise. The intriguing world-building in both games is another aspect that is frequently praised.

Pokemon Black 2's immersive world is highlighted by a recent heartbreaking moment that Reddit user NevGuy found in the game. During the main quest, they specifically came across a boy and a girl playing tag next to the Humilau City Pokemon Center. They discovered the boy on their own when they went back to that area after winning the Unova region championship. Speaking to him brought up a conversation about cherishing every second with close friends as if it were the last, which seemed to imply that the girl had passed away. On social media, the discovery gained a lot of attention, and some players claimed that Pokemon White 2 includes the same encounter.

The fifth generation of Pokemon is generally thought to be the next in line for a remake after the release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl in 2021. The updated versions of Pokemon Black and White, or, more likely, Black 2 and White 2, are now anticipated to release by 2025, given Game Freak's track record of releasing remakes every three to four years since the 2010 release of Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver. That is, assuming Game Freak isn't already at work on the Let's Go games from the second generation.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were the first games in the main series of the Pokemon franchise that weren't created by Game Freak, but the following two remakes are probably being handled internally. This is due to the fact that ILCA, the medium-sized Japanese studio that created Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, is in charge of overseeing the creation of a fresh Ace Combat game. According to the company's official website, ILCA, which was founded in 2010, increased to over 250 employees as of 2020, but up until now, it has refrained from managing multiple projects.

Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 are available now on Nintendo DS.
