Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios, which will soon open, can be seen for the first time in a fan preview video along with its various Mario-themed rides.
The newest Hollywood theme park from Universal Studios is currently being previewed by fans of the soon-to-open Super Nintendo World. Over the past few years, Super Nintendo Worlds have been announced for a number of locations around the globe. Only the Universal Studios Japan park has been open so far, but Nintendo fans from all over the world are flocking there as soon as they can. There are understandably high expectations as the second Super Nintendo World opens.
Super Nintendo World was first revealed in 2015, but due to COVID-19 pandemic-related construction delays, the Japanese theme park's opening was ultimately postponed until early 2021. Even though the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park was initially announced in 2016, there have been further delays. Even then, the construction didn't start until 2019. Super Nintendo World Hollywood is set to open to holders of annual passes on January 29, with a grand opening scheduled for February 17. Patience, however, has paid off.
It seems that Universal Studios has hosted a preview event for select members of the press and significant members of the Universal Studios Hollywood community as the opening of Super Nintendo World Hollywood approaches quickly. A first-look video of the park has been put together by Attraction Magazine. The video primarily consists of still images of the park, but it also includes a video clip of one of Super Nintendo World's augmented reality games.
In the video, you can see one of the park's attractions, Super Mario Battle Team Bowser, as well as another one, a Mario Kart Ride, and the Toadstool Cafe. The Mario Burger, Super Star Chicken Salad, Princess Peach Cupcake, Mario Mini Burger Adventure Set, and Power-Up Spaghetti Marinara are among the typical American dishes on the Toadstool Cafe's menu.
The biggest difference between Super Nintendo World's Hollywood location and other locations, regrettably, is the absence of the Yoshi ride. The space at the Hollywood location is limited, as the tour guide explains in the video. A slow-moving train that tours the park showcasing various scenery is called the Yoshi's Adventure Ride in Japan. Although it's a cute ride, skipping it won't necessarily be a huge disappointment.
As previously mentioned, Super Nintendo World will open to all visitors at Universal Studios Hollywood on February 17. Super Nintendo World will open in Florida's Epic Universe of Universal Studios sometime in the summer of 2025 for those who can't travel to the West Coast.
