Players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 demand longer team playlists

Some Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players prefer playlists that feature competitive matches between larger teams.

The ability for larger teams to compete against one another in playlists is something that some Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players want to see. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 matches typically feature a 6v6 battle, but the maps can be different sizes and shapes.

This standard is most likely unsuitable for fast-paced gameplay on some of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's larger maps. For players who prefer Call of Duty multiplayer matches to be action-packed, this can lead to a lot of downtime on these maps. One Modern Warfare 2 player is now requesting that Activision include new playlists in order to address this issue.

Activision is being urged by a Reddit user to add playlists that can support 10 or 12 players per team. The addition of these playlists may give players more options for action-packed gameplay since they claim that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players must rely on two maps, most likely Shipment and Shoot House, for intense combat encounters. In the post, the user provides a more thorough explanation and points out that 10v10 and 12v12 match options have been available in previous Call of Duty games.

Another example given by the player is how even Call of Duty: Vanguard offered Blitz mode for frantic matches. For those who are unaware, Tactical, Assault, and Blitz were the three combat pacing options available to Vanguard players at launch. Each provided players with a distinctively paced gameplay experience.

As many users laud the pacing options offered in Call of Duty: Vanguard, Blitz appears to be a popular choice. The Reddit user requests that Activision add a playlist that is exclusively focused on Blitz, while other users complain about the large maps in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Another player asserts that because the maps in Modern Warfare 2 are too large for 6v6 gameplay, Activision appears to be encouraging camping in the game.

The removal of the Shipment 24/7 playlist from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 by Activision may be related to this post. Shipment's compact size enables users to engage in combat immediately and without waiting, enabling frantic and chaotic matches that are probably not possible in other playlists. Many people have expressed their disappointment at this decision online, so it appears that many Modern Warfare 2 fans are missing out on the Shipment 24/7 playlist.

For the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is currently available.
