Possible Accidental March of the Lich King Mini-Set Leak by Hearthstone Artist

Possible Accidental March of the Lich King Mini-Set Leak by Hearthstone Artist

Though some unreleased artwork may give away the upcoming Mini-Set, a well-known Hearthstone artist has posted his March of the Lich King gallery.

The forthcoming Mini-Set for March of the Lich King may have been accidentally leaked by a Hearthstone artist. Some unfinished artwork in his most recent gallery may have provided Hearthstone players with a preview of the upcoming Mini-Set.

Famous Hearthstone creator Konstantin Turovec has contributed to numerous Warcraft projects over the past ten years. Turovec created illustrations for World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 3 as well as for nearly two dozen Hearthstone card sets.

Each Hearthstone expansion's gallery of work is typically published by Turovec shortly after the card sets are made available to the public. His most recent Hearthstone post displayed his amazing artwork for a variety of exquisite cards, including Felerin the Forgotten and the March of the Lich King Signature Legendary Alexandros Mograine. Some of the artwork hasn't yet been used in any Hearthstone cards, though. Players believe a Naxxramas Mini-Set may be forthcoming given names like Plague Eruption, Felscale Evoker, Ransack, and Ichor of Undeath, especially given the stone-and-pipe backgrounds reminiscent of the famous necropolis.

It's not the first time that Turovec's Artstation gallery has unveiled a Hearthstone Mini-Set early. Players were able to predict the courtroom-themed cards in the "Maw and Disorder" Mini-Set from Murder at Castle Nathria thanks to some of his artwork. Many fans wonder if Hearthstone approves of Turovec posting these teasers to create hype, given that his habit has yet to be broken.

In either case, the next Mini-Set will be revealed to players quickly. A week prior to the official announcement of the new Mini-Set, Hearthstone has historically held the Heroic Brawliseum for March of the Lich King. If Hearthstone keeps up with past trends, players may hear something sometime next week, and the Mini-Set may launch as early as January 31.

Players are thrilled about the possibility of another Hearthstone set with a Naxxramas theme. In 2014's Curse of Naxxramas adventure, Hearthstone received its first brand-new cards. Many players adore the renowned World of Warcraft raid and would love to see it updated for the new Hearthstone era with enjoyable achievements like Heigan the Unclean's "Safety Dance." A fourth card version of Kel'Thuzad, who also appeared in Scholastic Academy and Murder at Castle Nathria, made many players laugh as well. Players of Hearthstone can buy a full playset of the new cards for $20 or 2000 Gold once it becomes available, regardless of the theme of the Mini-Set.

Hearthstone is available now for Mobile and PC.
