xQc, a well-known Twitch streamer, critiques the new trend of ASMR streamers in the aim of bringing attention to the double standard on the platform. Through a variety of viral material, several content producers have become Internet celebrities. On Twitch, this manifested itself in the popularity of Hot Tub Streams, a type of video considered controversial by many. 

Currently, it appears that the Hot Tub Streaming developers have moved on to a new type of provocative viral online material within the ASMR streams genre. This follows a similar pattern of making material more explicit, with some artists wearing skimpy outfits and seductively licking microphones to satisfy their audience. Several ASMR broadcasters, as well as other well-known artists on the network, are outraged, including xQc, a well-known ASMR streamer. 

Amouranth and other provocative ASMR broadcasts have been criticized by streamer xQc for disregarding Twitch standards and boasting about getting away with it, knowing they would make a lot of money in the process. He also feels that this type of behavior is harming Twitch and its streamers, who are losing trust in Twitch's capacity to regulate its own platform. 

He goes on to argue that Amouranth, Indiefoxx, and other sorts of creators have been banned many times for similar reasons and that they should have been received a permanent ban from the platform. The streamer, who has previously been banned, points out that Twitch has challenged him for apparently small breaches, using the example of a video he viewed in which a man falls down, exposing about an inch of his buttocks. These broadcasters, on the other hand, get away with wearing exposing clothes despite being constantly banned. Later in the video, xQc claims that there is a double standard on Twitch when it comes to what the platform would accept and who it will take fast action against. 

Amouranth and other big ASMR streamers were banned by Twitch within minutes of each other, yet many people are still upset of Twitch for not acting sooner. Not only that, but genuine ASMR makers like ElisabeteTV or Japan ASMR who read tales or make other forms of video that was pushed down in the rankings for their own category were also harmed by this type of material. 

Fortunately, Twitch can reach an amicable agreement that benefits all parties concerned. To many, there is a murky area in which justifications for supporting this sort of content on the platform may be made. Others believe it is unjust for Twitch to grant these controversial producers any more favour or forbearance than the rest of the site.
