The Ghost of Tsushima story cannot be done, since the Ghost of Tsushima, alleged to be the Ikishima Ghost, is strongly rumoured to have a fresh, independent expansion. If that's true, then it will apparently be DLC, an alleged addition to the free co-op Legends mode published in 2020, following the game's debut. In concept, it may enable PlayStation to stretch out a rather quiet second half of the year.

This is reasonable because Ghost of Tsushima has been a commercial smash, selling more than 6.5 million copies by March 2021. Although the game was probably pretty good, it is difficult to believe that Sucker Punch Productions or Sony could critically and financially foresee an explosion in the game scene, so that the studio developer could maintain the game with an update of a multiplayer. Ghost of Tsushima is also fast becoming one of Sony's most valuable IP with a movie film under production. If the current reports sound accurate, Sucker Punch seems to be trying to keep the series in the minds of the players.

According to XboxERA co-founder Shpeshal Nick (Source:Wccftech), who proven trustworthy in the past, the autonomous extension in Spider Man's vein is already revealed: Miles Morales and Uncharted: Lost Legacy aims to release it in 2021. The leaker hasn't stated any platform, but it's probably a cross-genrelease, which isn't unexpected given PlayStation 4's primary game. The forum member ResetERA KatharsisT has also mentioned that it would be an expansion for a single player.

Ikishima is another Japanese island in the Tsushima Strait, also known as Iki Island, and the first game has also been affected by Mongol invasion. This expansion may lead Jin to Ikishima to battle invaders of the traffic jams, or there may be another reason that takes him there. In some manner, an extension in a new area in the vicinity of Tsushima Island appears likely. As it is a distinct mass, gamers would rarely return the previous map (unless part of the story takes place there).

If the rumor is coming soon, gamers will be thrilled to come back to the planet sooner rather than later. Ghost Tsushima is really excellent at PS5, and it would be a great excuse to get in with all the additional stuff. It's only a rumor as we write, of course, so optimists should keep the katanas tucked until Sucker Punch delivers the word. Sometime this summer there are grumblings about a "PlayStation" event - that may be when Sony reveals Ghost of Ikishima formally, assuming it is true. It's little more than a phantom until that time, but it's one for which fans of Ghost of Tsushima will certainly keep an eye on.
