Season Three of Sea of Thieves will premiere later this month, and with it will come Sea of Thieves: A Pirate's Life, an epic original story that will bring Captain Jack Sparrow and his crew in from the horizon to spark fresh adventures through five narrative-driven Tall Tales.

Xbox previously hinted at what's in store for those courageous buccaneers eager to fight with Jack Sparrow in one of the Sea of Thieves' biggest conflicts, after its unveiling at E3 with a beautiful cinematic video. The teams behind this remarkable cooperation are featured in today's special Xbox broadcast, which offers some exciting insights into its production. Rare and Walt Disney Games team members open up about the vision, ambition, and care and attention put into every element of this dream crossover - as well as some of the things they're most thrilled for fans of both brands to see. 

The special broadcast also delves into the gameplay of the first two Tall Tales, in which players must traverse the Sea of the Damned, among other obstacles, and teases what's to store when Sea of Thieves: A Pirate's Life launches on June 22.

In Sea of Thieves: A Pirate's Life, two pirate realms combine for an unique narrative that will blow your mind! Join Captain Jack Sparrow in five new Tall Tales that will take you to new places across the Sea of Thieves and beyond!

Explore a huge open world filled with pristine islands, sunken ships, and enigmatic artifacts. Find buried riches, face down cursed Skeleton Captains, and guard valuable Trading Company goods. Go hunting and fishing, or try your hand at one of the hundreds of alternative objectives!

With the addition of Seasons to Sea of Thieves this year, you'll be able to play the game in a whole new way. As you play, you can earn Renown and unlock rewards organically, or you can take on Trials to speed up your progress. Seasons also bring with them new events, bonuses, and gaming features!

Tall Tales is a campaign in Sea of Thieves that showcases the game's unique approach on a story-driven campaign. These rich and dramatic missions give roughly 30 hours of the ultimate pirate fantasy, with 11 Tales to go through over two epic stories.

The oceans are never completely secure! Beware of Skeleton Ships, spooky fleets of Ghost Ships, clutching Krakens, and voracious Megalodons on the ocean. Take on well-defended Skeleton Forts to plunder their wealth, or fight furious Ashen Lords on the ground.

Customize your pirate as you create a new legend. To expand your wardrobe, collect gold and Doubloons or accomplish Commendations. To help you stand out from the crowd, choose weaponry, haircuts, tattoos, and even curses, then decorate your ship to fit!

With your hard-earned prizes, you'll collect riches, establish a reputation, and define a distinct personal style on your path to becoming a Pirate Legend. What will your legend be as an adventurer, explorer, or conqueror?

Pet sidekicks, as well as unique ship sets, outfits, emotes, and other goods, are available in the Pirate Emporium! Choose from a variety of dog, cat, parrot, or monkey pet breeds, and bring your new companion along on all of your excursions.

All Sea of Thieves players who purchased the game on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows 10 PC, or Steam, or who have access to it through Xbox Game Pass, will receive the Season Three update, which includes Sea of Thieves: A Pirate's Life, for free.
