 Square Enix has announced that the 3D version of Trials of Mana, which was first released in 2020, will be distributed on mobile devices next month.

The franchise from Mana is one of the most iconic JRPGs in the history of video games. The Mana franchise features four major releases and six spin-offs spining out of Final Fantasy with Final Fantasy Adventure in 1991. The Mana series is having a modern revival with various remakes and ports, and Square Enix has just revealed that Trials of Mana remake will be released in 2021 on more platforms and mobile port.

Square Enix recently sponsored a stream commemorating the 30th anniversary of Mana, also known as Seiken Densetsu in Japan. The recent release of the remake Trials of Mana, the JRPG enhanced with 3D graphs in 1995, was made by Square Enix during the stream. Legend of Mana tests were released on PC, PS4 and Nintendo Switch in April 2020, but the recent word from Square Enix is that Mana trials will soon go on iOS and Android devices.

Trials of Mana will be available on mobile devices in a short time. Trials of Mana will be released on iOS and Android smartphones on July 15, according to Square Enix. The whole game will cost $23.99, which is a bargain compared to the $49.99 Trials of Mana cost when it was released in 2020 for PC, PS4, and Switch.

Square Enix will also include new features for its mobile port of Trials of Mana. The features are aimed to make it easier for mobile devices to play either because of the restriction of touch controls or because Square Enix believes that mobile users want it for themselves. Square Enix adds auto-targeting, auto-camera and auto-battling to automate several important components of the mechanics.

Trials of Mana is a redesign of the third version of the main series in the Mana franchise. Players pick three of six characters and then take part in an epic fantasy adventure. The Trials of Mana employs an action-RPG system with active fighting rather than turn-based struggles like the Final Fantasy games.

This is not the only remastered of Mana to be released in 2021. On the Nintendo Switch last June 24, Legend of Mana was remastered and published. Legend of Mana is not a major series title but a spin-off game. It would be no surprise, though, to see the Mana legend also come in time to mobile.

Trials of Mana is out currently on PC, Steam®, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, and will be available on mobile platforms on July 15.
