Cyberpunk 2077 gamers tried the unpatched version and found many changes and cut content.

Cyberpunk Unpatched Cut Content
A fan discovers items removed by Cyberpunk 2077, including UI changes and Street Vendors, because of Red's Day 1 patches for CD Projects.

Since the release of Project Red's Cyberpunk 2077 CD, reputation and experience have become hot topics. The game was praised, questioned and beaten for many different reasons by fans and critics alike. Patches have now left the game in "acceptable condition", according to the CDPR, in an attempt to satisfy the fans. But the first 1.0 build of the game went back to a fan and found certain content removed after the first day.

Cyberpunk 2077 gamers know the content of the cut. Fans exploring Night City discovered several corners and features, such as the train system in its final release. With the difficult production of the game well publicized, elements remaining on the cutting room floor were destined to reach their release date. However, it is a little weird to notice that several features made Cyberpunk 2077's final release, but have been deleted by a patch for day one.

Tyler McVicker revealed some of the content he discovered during his performance in the unpatched cyberpunk in 2077 in a YouTube video. The street vendors were one of the things most noticeable to players in the world. These suppliers may communicate with V and sell their wares. Not only that, but certain objects, such as suppressors and pistol muzzle accessories, were removed by the Day 1 patch.

Additional cut-out content found includes the quality of life. In particular, a full 3D "Free Look" map version was used once to take care of vertical travel. The UI has been altered a lot, such as icons deleted from the Map Legend and even a mode wherein players can view their stock in 3D models. McVicker's video uses Cyberpunk 2077's PS4 version to illustrate that the only method for playing this unpatched version is actual console copies. He estimated that the game would be built at the end of September 2020, because it would align with the original gold-going announcement before it expired.

McVicker believes that these elements have been removed for optimization. Cyberpunk 2077 was already a technical problem even in its initial edition and it was probably the proper option to remove elements that further hampered the performance of the game. He further speculates that they might be revisited or enhanced in a future expansion. It is feasible to make Cyberpunk 2077 worth playing, and McVicker adds that he plans to explore the rest of this unpatched version for more tweaks.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
