Capcom is currently working to resolve Resident Evil Village's PC performance concerns. The first-person survival horror thriller, which will be published in May 2021, is the next edition in Capcom's long-running survival horror franchises. As a direct successor to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Village emphasizes fighting as protagonist Ethan Winters is compelled to fight legions of terrible monstrosities in order to save his wife.

Whereas Resident Evil Village was quite well hailed upon its first release, one critique focused on the game's occasional instability on PC. Players discovered that frame rates frequently stalled around opponents and during cutscenes, marring an otherwise excellent game. However, Eurogamer's Digital Foundry has done multiple tests that proved Resident Evil Village performs better on PC without Denuvo DRM. Denuvo Anti-cheat is a digital rights management system (DRM) that stops users from pirating games and guarantees that the game runs as intended by the creator. But, when comparing Resident Evil Village to a pirated version of the game without Denuvo, Digital Foundry observed that the lack of the DRM results in noticeably smoother gameplay. Resident Evil village graphics are poor, PC Performance faces by the gamer.

Capcom has told Eurogamer that it is working on an update to solve PC performance concerns after claims that Resident Evil Village works better without Denuvo. This comment, supplied in an update to Eurogamer's original story, implies that the DRM is not fully to blame for the game's PC performance difficulties, as the publisher is unlikely to remove the anti-cheat mechanism from the game. Capcom has stated that the PC patch will be available shortly and that further information will be provided in the near future.

Resident Evil Village was supposed to be released with Resident Evil Re: Verse, a multiplayer game mode starring famous series characters, however after repeated delays, Resident Evil Re: Verse has been pushed back into 2022. The most recent delay in Re: Verse has been linked to the highly bad reaction to the game's last open beta, which ran from April 14 to 16. The beta for the competitive multiplayer title was panned due to technical problems and a lack of interesting content, leaving many series fans unsatisfied. Capcom thanked gamers for their patience and stated that the most recent delay will assist in the delivery of a smooth gameplay experience. Re: Verse was supposed to be accessible for free to gamers who purchased Resident Evil Village in November 2020, and Capcom has promised fans that this offer will be honored when the multiplayer shooter actually launches next year. Residents of Village will obtain Resident Evil Re: Verse for free in 2022, but they must keep track of their download codes.

Resident evil village fans Might love this.

Resident Evil Village was a huge hit, with both franchise fans and newcomers enjoying the game's environment, storyline, and gameplay. The game's jerky screen resolution on PC was one minor blemish on an otherwise flawless game, so PC players should be relieved to know that Capcom is working on a remedy for it.
