Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls was soft-launched in Canada but was later canceled.
Konami is releasing a long-discontinued Castlevania mobile game to the Apple Arcade. In April 2018, Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls was initially unveiled, and in September 2019, it was soft-launched in Canada. The game, however, was terminated a year later, before it was ever sold anywhere.
Recently, Konami has stated that Grimoire of Souls will be released only on Apple Arcade, which appears to imply that it will not include the in-app purchases seen in the original mobile edition.

Grimoire of Souls is a classic 2D Castlevania game with 60 stages to complete.
Players can pick from five playable characters from the Castlevania series:
- Simon Belmont (Castlevania)
- Maria Renard (Rondo of Blood)
- Alucard (Symphony of the Night)
- Charlotte Aulin (Portrait of Ruin)
- Shanoa (Order of Ecclesia)
There will be a range of equipment to gather, as well as daily and weekly tasks, according to the game's Apple Store description. More playable characters are apparently on the way, according to reports.
Character design was handled by Ayami Kojima, who previously worked on Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, while the main theme was created by Michiru Yamane, who also worked on Symphony of the Night.
Grimoire of Souls isn't the only title Konami looks to be reviving.
The Castlevania Advance Collection, a yet-to-be-announced product, has received ratings from both the Australian and South Korean classification boards.
It looks to be a collection of the series' three critically praised Game Boy Advance games, Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, and Aria of Sorrow, based on the name.
