The eight Master System games that will be playable in Lost Judgment have been revealed by Sega.

In June, it was reported that the sequel to Judgment will have a playable Master System in protagonist Takayuki Yagami's workplace, replacing the previous game's pinball machine.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the game's creator, has now posted all eight playable games on its official Twitter account.

The following are the eight games:

  • Alex Kidd in Miracle World (iconic platformer)
  • Fantasy Zone (side-scrolling shoot ’em up)
  • Penguin Land (platform puzzler)
  • Quartet (run-and-gun game with a jetpack)
  • Enduro Racer (isometric motorbike racing game)
  • Woody Pop (Breakout style ball and bricks game)
  • Maze Hunter 3-D (top-down maze game)
  • Secret Command (re-release of Rambo: First Blood Part II without the license).

Yagami had a pinball machine in his office during the first Judgment. Later this year, in the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S update Judgment Remastered, this was replaced with an OutRun arcade machine. This has been replaced by the Master System.

Players in previous Yakuza games were able to explore and play old Sega arcade games. In the past, games including Space Harrier, Fantasy Zone, Virtua Fighter 2, Super Hang-On, and Puyo-Puyo were played. However, this is the first time a home console has been mentioned.

Lost Judgment is the follow-up to the Yakuza spin-off Judgment, which was released in 2018. It was first unveiled in May via a video presentation and will be published on September 24 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in the United States.

Toshihiro Nagoshi, Sega's newly hired creative director and developer of Yakuza, remarked during the presentation, "I'm certain we've produced a game, unlike anything you've seen before."
Rather than using the turn-based RPG system utilized in 2020's Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the "legal suspense action game" will stick to the original's fast-paced action.

Aside from Kamurocho, the game will also transport players to Yokohama, where returning protagonist Takayuki Yagami will go undercover at a high school.

However, due to ongoing difficulties with Sega and actor Takuya Kimura's talent agency, it may be the final game in the Judgment series, according to rumors last month.
