At the recent PlayStation Showcase, Arkane Studios introduced a new Deathloop story trailer. While the game has been shown at a variety of Sony events, this appears to be the final trailer before Deathloop's release in a couple of days.

It shows a time loop in which players assume the role of assassins and must eliminate all eight of their targets before the day resets. Because it is possible to meddle with another player's game world and prevent them from completing their goal as Julianna, Deathloop will have two playable characters. This new story trailer provides fans an idea of what to anticipate from the game's tale.

Colt, the protagonist of Deathloop, is the narrator of the video. After failing to fulfill his goal, he constantly wakes up on a beach. He admits that he doesn't understand how time loops operate or why he's trapped in one, but he's determined to figure it out. Arkane has previously revealed a lot of Deathloop gameplay, and this new teaser provides a taste of some of the various ways players may dispatch their foes. Colt appears to make good use of the level design in the video, and he appears to have access to a broad range of weapons and abilities.

The trailer teases a number of secrets, and the plot seems to be quite captivating. While games like Outer Wilds and the newly released 12 Minutes have included time loop tales, fans may hope that Deathloop delivers satisfactory solutions to all of the riddles it raises.

Due to the fact that Microsoft now owns Arkane Studios, Deathloop will be exclusive to the PS5 and PC for a short period. Deathloop will not be available on other platforms until September 2022, but like all other Microsoft-published games, it will be included in Xbox Game Pass. This version might also contain any DLC that comes out after the game's initial release.

This isn't to say that the PS5 version will be unfinished or unrealized in any manner. Arkane appears to be making the most of the technology, since it was previously announced that Deathloop will make use of the Dualsense's unique capabilities, such as haptic feedback and adjustable triggers. Given Sony's absence of a significant first-party release for the rest of the year, Deathloop has a better chance of grabbing the attention of a larger audience.

Deathloop will be available on PC and PS5 on September 14th.
