The release date for the next God of War Ragnarok, one of the most anticipated games of 2022, may have been leaked by a PlayStation database listing.
God of War Ragnarok was previously scheduled to release in 2021, however, it was ultimately postponed to an unspecified date in 2022. God of War Ragnarok has a lot of hype surrounding it, and this extra development time will undoubtedly result in a more refined and overall better experience for fans, yet it's natural that some are feeling antsy to get their hands on it.
Sony has not given a launch date for God of War Ragnarok and has not narrowed down the game's release date beyond the fact that it is expected to arrive sometime next year. Another potential release date, however, has recently leaked online. For the time being, fans should take it with a grain of salt, but it appears that the PlayStation database has potentially leaked the God of War Ragnarok release date.

The release date for God of War Ragnarok is September 30, 2022, according to the leak. It's possible that this is only a fallback date, or that God of War Ragnarok will be launched within that time period, but it's also possible that this is the perfect solution. It will most likely be months before PlayStation fans find out whether or not this leak is accurate, but if it is, it makes a lot of sense.
Because September 30 falls on a Friday, and new video game releases are normally released on Tuesdays and Fridays, the rumored release date meets that criteria. Not only that, but a release date for God of War Ragnarok in the early fall would make sense. Fall is traditionally when gaming companies release their most important titles, and it would put some gap between God of War Ragnarok and some of the other major PlayStation exclusives set to debut in 2022.
Horizon Forbidden West, Sony's first major PS5 exclusive, is planned to debut in February, and the company isn't stopping there. Gran Turismo 7 will be released in March, and Square Enix's Forspoken will be released in May as a limited-time PS5 exclusive. PlayStation's first half of 2022 is already jam-packed, so it's reasonable to assume that God of War Ragnarok will be delayed until the second half of the year.
The release date for God of War Ragnarok isn't the only one that has leaked from the PlayStation database. The possible release date for Sonic Frontiers was also leaked online, so the PlayStation Size Twitter account, which distributes this information on a regular basis, appears to be one to keep an eye on.
