Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is expected to be released in winter 2022

According to a new report, the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel  The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 could be released in the winter of 2022.

Nintendo is not planning to delay Breath of the Wild 2, according to IGN's founder and Chief Content Officer Peer Schneider. Schneider said he had a conversation with various insiders after the Game Awards on an episode of Nintendo Voice Chat, a podcast focusing on the publisher's recent activities. "It appears that Nintendo will have a strong year next year," Schneider said. "But I would never see the lack of significant announcements (even At GOTY) as an indication that Breath of the Wild is on hold or that they have nothing else in the works because it sounds like, Nintendo employees are very enthusiastic about 2022.

Although this information could be enough to fulfill Legend of Zelda fans who have been waiting for any kind of update on the game, Schneider went on to share more information on a possible release date. Schneider adds of Nintendo's open-world games' modest scope, "I think that will definitely change next November when we play Breath of the Wild 2."

At the time of writing, it's unclear whether Schneider is implying that Breath of the Wild 2 will be published in November or earlier in the year. The focus immediately shifts after this comment.

The widely anticipated sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is currently unknown. The game was first revealed during Nintendo's E3 Direct presentation in 2019. In 2021, more details were published, including multiple gameplay videos. Breath of the Wild 2 appears to be building on the original with a number of new mechanics and systems, based on the little snippets available.

Many people believe Breath of the Wild to be one of the best games of all time.
