Pokemon Legends: Arceus has Better Sword & Shield Abilities than Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Pokemon Legends: Arceus beats the rest in Mythical Pokemon, The new Pokemon game that rewards long-time franchise lovers.

The Pokemon franchise has been rewarding players who have played earlier games in the franchise since the game's move to the Nintendo Switch. Initially, they were one-of-a-kind Pokemon, some with new forms, but in recent years, desired Mythical Pokemon have also been delivered in this technique.

This has helped fans to obtain the rarest of all Pokemon quite early in their adventures, allowing them to play through the entire game with them. However, with the awards for prior games already announced for Pokemon Legends: Arceus, it appears like gamers of this game will be getting a better bargain than those of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Beginning with the most recent game, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl received two significant rewards for past games. Jirachi, the Mythical Wish Pokemon, is the reward for having a Sword and Shield save the file on their Switch. Jirachi was only offered as a freebie in Pokemon X and Y in 2018, but after that, it was just available in Japan. Western gamers who wanted a Jirachi had to be there during the 20th Anniversary giveaways in 2016 in order to obtain one.

Although many players are still unable to obtain a Jirachi after five years, having a strategy to successfully catch mythical Pokemon forever is as long as beneficial to future gamers. Jirachi's scarcity indicates that players will never be able to complete a campaign with one before. This is why the Pokemon's placement in Floroama Town is so ideal. Players will arrive in this area shortly after receiving their first Gym Badge from Roark, allowing them to successfully connect into their increasing group if they want to explore the zone with that as well.

Players of Sword & Shield will receive two rewards in Pokemon Legends: Arceus before the main event, giving it an advantage over the Sinnoh games right away. The second prize is an outfit, which takes advantage of Legends' full trainer personalization vs Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl's limited options. This is a one-of-a-kind kimono set that features Shaymin's color scheme and some beautiful texturing, giving the outfit a light, breezy and fashionable feel.

Shaymin, on the other hand, is the big one. This Mythical Pokemon has long been a fan favorite, although the Pokemon Company doesn't typically highlight it. Shaymin, like Jirachi, had his last Western distribution in 2016, during the 20th Anniversary event. Shaymin, on the other hand, was briefly available in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl due to a glitch that has since been fixed. Those who missed out on the glitch or didn't want to use it will be delighted to Catch a genuine Shaymin in the near future.

Furthermore, the fact that Shaymin and Darkrai, another Mythical Pokemon, are placed into Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl raises many concerns. These Pokemon may not be limited to Pokemon Legends for long, as events from the original Sinnoh games may soon make their way to the remakes as well. With an extra option to obtain these Mythical Pokemon, the benefits Legends gives players may not be so unique after all.

Whereas the Sword & Shield prizes are the most visible, it's worth noting that Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, as well as Pokemon Legends: Arceus, have both announced rewards for previous Nintendo Switch Pokemon games.

Beginning with Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee, it looks as players with the Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl save files will be able to get a Mew in Floroama Town at the same time as Jirachi. Sword & Shield's prizes were also rather good, granting access to a Gigantamax Pikachu and a Gigantamax Eevee, two Pokemon that have been hard to come by since the game's release. Finally, there are Pokemon Legends: Arceus, which received the short end of the stick, with only cosmetic masks with Pikachu or Eevee faces.

That is just one significant prize for Pokemon Legends: Arceus, which many players believe to be the most exciting yet. Darkrai and a great set of Team Galactic outfits will be available to those who have a Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl save the file. Darkrai has long been a fan favorite Mythical Pokemon, having starred in one of the franchise's most popular anime films. There's also word that this will be part of a postgame story event, so there's much more to it than being decided to hand the Pokemon.

It is certainly a trend that will remain in the franchise, allowing fans to guess what rewards will be available in future Pokemon games. The previous games will have some prizes in store for long-time players, whether it's Generation 9, "Let's Go! Johto," or something absolutely new. The most obvious first step is to download Pokemon Legends: Arceus, which gives you access to Arceus himself. However, depending on whether or not Arceus will be catchable in Pokemon Legends, Game Freak may not wish to do so. If this is the case, the "Plate" items that allow Arceus to change types could be given instead.

While there is a lot of Mythical Pokemon that haven't been released in years for Western audiences. Since 2016, Victini, Genesect, and Hoopa, to name a few, have been unavailable. When Generation 9 arrives, fans' wants for Black and White remakes will undoubtedly surface, therefore pushing these Mythical Pokemon may temporarily satiate their desires. Regardless, it's reassuring to know that Game Freak and Nintendo are always exploring ways to thank long-term fans of the franchise.

On January 28, 2022, Nintendo Switch will launch Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
