A Sonic the Hedgehog Lego kit has surfaced online ahead of an expected official announcement.

Lego Sonic the Hedgehog set, which is for sale on the renowned online marketplace Mercado Libre, appears to be a recreation of Sonic the Hedgehog's Green Hill Zone, replete with gold rings and Dr. Robotnik.

The set is part of the Lego Ideas suggestion, which enables fans to design their own dream LEGO sets and submit them for approval on the Lego website. If a set receives more than 10,000 votes, it is considered for commercial release.

Over 700 items and scenery inspired by Sonic's Green Hill Zone, as well as an Egg Robot Mech and Badniks from the Sega series, are included in the original Ideas design.
