Assassin's Creed: Valhalla game has become the highest-earning Assassin's Creed game in the series. According to Ubisoft, AC Valhalla has crossed $1 billion in revenue, making it the most profitable Assassin's Creed game ever.

According to a recent financial report from Ubisoft, Assassin's Creed Valhalla has earned over $1 billion, making it the highest-grossing Assassin's Creed game to date. AC Valhalla debuted to great acclaim in November 2020, rapidly establishing itself as the fastest-selling AC installment in series history. The Viking's journey was so successful that AC Valhalla's sales helped Ubisoft achieve its best quarter ever. And the hits keep flowing, much to the publisher's joy.

Ubisoft's remarkable post-launch support for the game likely contributed to the game's sustained revenue growth. Assassin's Creed Valhalla creators routinely released free resources that boosted the main experience with seasonal events, new game modes, and gameplay upgrades from the end of 2020 to the beginning of 2021.

Ubisoft also released two-story extensions for AC Valhalla during its first year of support, Wrath of the Druids and The Siege of Paris, in May and August, respectively. With the release of AC Valhalla's Dawn of Ragnarök expansion, the second year of content, another first for the brand, will begin in the following weeks.

According to Axios (via Eurogamer), Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot told investors at a recent results presentation that Assassin's Creed Valhalla had surpassed $1 billion in revenue, a new milestone for the time-traveling intellectual property. This makes the epic set in 9th century England the most profitable Assassin's Creed game to date. It's no surprise, then, that Ubisoft is still interested in exploring the opportunities of this time.

Again, continuing content releases, especially those of the premium sort, provide for a significant portion of Assassin's Creed Valhalla's earnings. Given the $40 price tag for the upcoming Dawn of Ragnarok DLC, the game's already excellent earnings will likely rise in the months ahead. According to rumors, several of the stories told in the Viking epic will not be finished anytime soon.

Basim, an AC Valhalla character whose arc spans both past and present-day storylines, is said to star in the next Assassin's Creed game. Bloomberg claimed earlier this month that the project started out as another expansion before transforming into a stealth-focused standalone adventure. Eurogamer quickly confirmed Bloomberg's report, stating that players may expect to explore Baghdad. However, Ubisoft has yet to publicly confirm these details as of this writing. Though details on the project dubbed AC Infinity are scant, it is the only future Assassin's Creed title that the French publisher has openly teased.

On Google Stadia, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, Assassin's Creed Valhalla is released.
