Capcom is preparing up for a massive reveal, which will coincide with its Street Fighter tournament. A teaser website has gone live, with the Capcom pro tour season coming to a close in the near future.

The Capcom pro tour season coming to an end in the near future, a teaser website has gone live.

The announcement will take place on Sunday, February 20 at 10 p.m. PT/1 a.m. ET/6 a.m. GMT, according to the Capcom website's timer (Feb 21).

Capcom hasn't specified when the countdown will end. Its release date, on the other hand, corresponds with the end of the Street Fighter Pro Tour Season Final for Capcom.

Capcom will hold three days of friendly matches involving the 31 professional Street Fighter V: Champion Edition players from Friday, February 18 to Sunday, February 20.

It's possible that the timing is coincidental, but the Street Fighter series is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, and Capcom has stated that it will do so. "Please look forward to the Street Fighter series' future evolution," it said.

Although there's no assurance that Capcom would celebrate Street Fighter's 35th anniversary with a game, the company has done so in the past.

The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, which contained all 12 primary arcade versions of the Street Fighter, Street Fighter II, Street Fighter III, and Street Fighter Alpha games, was released in 2017 to honor the series' 30th anniversary.

Street Fighter V, the most recent installment in the series, was released in 2016 in arcades and on PS4 and PC. In 2017, it was renamed Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, and in 2020, it was renamed Street Fighter V: Champion Edition.

Capcom has continued to update Street Fighter V with five seasons of content, totaling more than 2000 distinct DLC items.

The company has yet to announce whether or not development on Street Fighter VI has begun.
