The Halo TV series this year will make a significant change for the franchise by revealing Master Chief's face. Kiki Wolfkill, the head of Halo transmedia, confirmed an interview with IGN today.

She mentioned why it was crucial to reveal Master Chief's face, which would be played by actor Pablo Schreiber. "I believe we set out to present a character and personal story," she explained. "And it became evident that you really needed to see the guy in the armor and behind the helmet as we got into what that story was."

"You will see his face," Wolfkill stated emphatically. Wolfkill went on to clarify that she understands and respects those who don't want to see Master Chief's face, but that it was necessary for the tale to show his face at some point.

"For some, it's been a 20-year wait, and for others, it's absurd," Wolfkill added. "We respect both sides of the argument, those who want to see Chief's face and those who don't. However, given the nature of this story, it felt critical to connect with the Master Chief in a different way, which entailed revealing his face."

The Halo TV series has its own canon, named the "Silver Timeline," which means that what happens on the program has no bearing on the games or other media.

The Halo TV series, which will premiere on Paramount+ on March 24, also stars Natascha McElhone as Dr. Halsey. Jen Taylor, who plays Cortana in the video game series, will also play her on the show.

Season 2 has already been announced by Paramount+, indicating that it has a lot of faith in and passion for the Halo franchise.

In other Halo Infinite news, Microsoft just stated that the game has now reached 20 million players, setting a new record for the biggest launch in franchise history. Xbox is doing well in general, having just had its best year in terms of revenue in the company's 20-year history.
