EA-published titles are leaving from the Humble Bundle digital storefront, and codes bought through the service are about to expire.

In recent years, Humble Bundle has established itself as a well-known gaming distribution service. It has allowed gamers to purchase a variety of gaming bundles using a pay-what-you-want approach, with a portion of the proceeds going to charity. It soon found success by providing good value to consumers while providing a large volume of sales to its developers. This organization frequently promotes high-profile AAA games from major publishers, and its digital redemption keys can be utilized on a wide range of devices and PC clients. This includes Electronic Arts titles such as A Way Out, Titanfall 2, and It Takes Two.

Many of EA's games have been made available not only through third-party clients like Steam but also through its own desktop programs. One of these is Origin, which debuted in 2011 as a digital distribution platform for acquiring and playing Electronic Arts games. However, EA revealed a few years back that it would be renaming Origin, which is now known as EA Play. This appears to be extending to the catalog of games offered on specific digital distribution platforms since EA games are being removed from sites such as Humble Bundle.

Electronic Arts-published titles will no longer be accessible on the Humble Store, according to a post from Humble Bundle's support team. This includes any digital codes acquired through the marketplace, with gamers having until March 18 at 5:00 PM PDT to redeem any EA or Origin game keys before they expire. According to the post, this will only affect games purchased through the Humble Store, not those purchased as part of a bundle or those currently enrolled in a Humble Choice subscription.

According to the post, any Humble Bundle account that is linked to Origin will automatically try to redeem the keys a day before they expire. However, it is still advised that players attempt to manually redeem these keys, as the service will not provide replacements or refunds after the expiration date. Players who have problems redeeming keys or making purchases should contact the Humble Bundle support staff before March 18.

Other gaming stores, such as GreenManGaming, Gamesplanet, and Fanatical, are also delisting EA-published games, with keys expiring on the same day as Humble Bundle. With the publishing behemoth abandoning Origin in favor of its proprietary EA Play subscription service and application, it's possible that EA wants gamers to focus on its most recent service and model. While these titles have been removed from Humble Bundle and other retailers, for the time being, they may return at a later date.
