Overwatch 2's hit a record 1.5 million concurrent Twitch viewers since the beta launches

Overwatch 2's hit a record 1.5 million concurrent Twitch viewers since the beta launches

Overwatch had its best day ever on Twitch, which coincided with the launch of the Overwatch 2 beta on Wednesday.

Players who want to take part in the Overwatch 2 beta can sign up for a chance to do so or gain access through Twitch drops.

Players who have linked their Twitch account to their Battle.net account can earn a beta key for the game by watching any of Blizzard's partnered streamers during specific time windows.

The promotion has sparked a lot of interest, breaking Twitch's Overwatch viewership record.

Blizzard tweeted, "Together we reached over 1.5M concurrent views, the highest day ever for Overwatch on Twitch." "Let's go!" says the group.

The Overwatch 2 beta will only be available for PC until May 17, but Blizzard has stated that console players will be included in future tests.

Overwatch 2's 5v5 PvP mode, the new Push Mode, the Ping System, four hero reworks (Orisa, Doomfist, Bastion, Sombra), one new hero (Sojourn), all OW1 maps, and four new maps are all included in the beta (Circuit Royal, Midtown, Toronto and Rome).

Players in North America, Europe, Latin America/Brazil, Korea, Japan, Australia/New Zealand, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia can participate in the Overwatch 2 beta.

In November, Blizzard announced that both Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4 would be delayed until at least 2023.
