On November 18, 2022, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will be released worldwide.

The release date for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has been confirmed in a new trailer for the upcoming Switch releases, which can be seen below.

The trailer revealed new Pokémon, including two new Legendary Pokémon, Koraidon (exclusive to Scarlet) and Miraodon (exclusive to Violet).

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were announced in February, with a debut trailer featuring the game's three new starter Pokémon, or 'Partner Pokémon,' as they're referred to this time.

They are Sprigatito, a grass-type cat Pokémon, Fuecoco, a fire-type crocodile Pokémon, and Quaxly, a water-type duckling Pokémon. It's safe to assume that the player will be able to select one of the three as they embark on their journey in an unknown region.

Nintendo recently claimed that it sold nearly 35 million Pokémon games in its most recent fiscal year, which ended in March 2022.

Following their November 2021 release, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, remakes of the 2007 Nintendo DS titles, sold 14.65 million units.

In addition, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, a new entry in the franchise that saw the series transition into a fully 3D RPG, sold 12.64 million copies after its January 2022 release.

Their success contributed to The Pokémon Company having a record financial year.
