Pac-Man World is a PlayStation game released by Namco in 1999, is getting a new remake.

Bandai Namco describes the upcoming game, Pac-Man World Re-Pac, as "a modernized classic" and says that it will be available on consoles and computers on August 26.

The new version will be "packed with smoother intuitive gameplay, updated visuals, and a wider view of the action," according to information discovered on Amazon.

In addition, there will be two other game modes: quest and maze. In quest mode, players can progress through the main adventure.

The original Pac-Man game can be unlocked by finishing Quest Mode.

The PlayStation first saw the release of Pac-Man World in 1999.

Pac-Man attempts to save his friends, who have been taken hostage by ghosts and are being held captive on Ghost Island, in the game. To find them, Pac-Man must travel through six different worlds.

Pac-Man World is more of a 3D platformer than the original Pac-Man, which was just a straightforward maze game. In this version, Pac-Man can attack enemies by butt-bouncing them or roll into a ball to jump off ramps.

Bandai Namco is bringing back a number of classic PlayStation games in addition to Pac-Man World.

Earlier this year, the publisher announced the release of Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series, a collection of fresh contemporary remakes of the PlayStation 1 games Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil.

The Phantasy Reverie Series, according to Bandai Namco, will add new features to the classic games, such as optional tutorials, a 2-player support mode, a "challenging" Stopwatch mode, and easy, normal, and hard difficulty settings.
