Toys for Bob is rumored to be working on a new Crash Bandicoot game

It's been suggested that Toys for Bob is working on a new Crash Bandicoot game. Last year, the studio was rumored to be hiring for a non-cod project.

Windows Central journalist Jez Corden hinted on the Windows Central Xbox Chaturdays podcast that he knows of a new Crash Bandicoot game in development at the studio behind Crash 4: It's About Time and the remake trilogy.

When another guest on the podcast, Rand al Thor, suggested that Toys for Bob might be working on a new Crash game that could be shown at the upcoming Xbox & Bethesda showcase, Corden sarcastically asked, "Where did you get that info Rand?" before later saying, "I wasn't supposed to leak that," while clearly implying that it could be true.

Toys For Bob was supposed to be hiring for non-Call of Duty projects late last year, according to a listing on GR's internal careers site.

The studio, which created the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, and the Skylanders franchise, had recently been rebranded as a Call of Duty support studio, focusing on the massively popular free-to-play Warzone.

Activision Blizzard confirmed last year that all of its core studios are now working on the Call of Duty franchise, but Toys for Bob still implied it would be working on the Crash franchise in some form at the time.

On Sunday, June 12th, the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase will take place.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET/6 p.m. BST and will be broadcast in more than 30 languages on sites such as Youtube, Twitch, and Facebook.
