In August 2022, Xbox Game Pass releases its final selection of titles, one of which is a recently released, critically praised title.

Many fans may be looking forward to all the new games, subscription service additions, and events happening in September as August comes to a close, but Xbox Game Pass wants to go out on a high note. August 30 is almost the ideal antidote to August 31, which is a sad day for Xbox Game Pass because it will lose some big games like Hades.

Xbox Game Pass has four new games available as of today, August 30. Today's additions all make strong titles for the service, but one stands out perhaps more than the others.

Immortality, Commandos 3: HD Remaster, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and Tinykin are the four games that are currently accessible. While Tinykin is only available on console and PC, and Immortality is available on all platforms with the exception of Xbox One, Commandos 3 HD and Immortals Fenyx Rising are accessible on all platforms, including cloud, consoles, and PC. The first game on this list is an updated version of a popular real-time strategy game, while Immortals Fenyx Rising is an original action-adventure role-playing game from Ubisoft. The way that tiny creatures follow the main character in Tinykin is similar to Pikmin, and it also has some positive reviews. Immortality, which is currently receiving nothing but positive reviews and is launching on Game Pass on its first day, stands out among the rest.

List of Xbox Game Pass Games August 30 Additions

  • Commandos 3: HD Remaster - Cloud/Consoles/PC
  • Immortality - Cloud/PC/Xbox Series X
  • Immortals Fenyx Rising - Cloud/Consoles/PC
  • Tinykin - Console/PC

Edge Magazine gave Immortality a perfect 10/10 score a few weeks ago, ahead of other reviews. This is significant because the magazine has only given 23 other games a perfect score since 1993, with Elden Ring being the most recent before Immortality. Of course, one publication is only one publication, but now that other reviews have poured in, it's almost universally praised. For example, the PC version of Immortality has eighteen reviews, with eight perfect 10/10 scores and three below 90. (the lowest being 80). As of this writing, its Metacritic score is 92, indicating universal acclaim on the aggregate site. It also has a 92 on Xbox Series X, despite receiving fewer reviews so far.

Immortality is the latest game from Sam Barlow, a well-known developer who has worked on titles such as Her Story and Telling Lies. Immortality is an FMV horror game in which players must solve the mystery of actress Marissa Marcel's disappearance by studying film clips and other materials. There's little reason not to try it out now that it's available on Game Pass.

Every month, Xbox Game Pass subscribers receive a selection of games.
