Splatoon 3's Little Buddy Smallfry Plush Has Been Revealed

The Little Buddy Smallfry Salmonid, the companion of the player character in Splatoon 3, will soon be the subject of a new plush toy.

The player character's companion, the Little Buddy Smallfry Salmonid, will be the subject of a brand-new plush toy for Splatoon 3.

Little Buddy, the player's devoted Smallfry companion, made his or her debut in Splatoon 3. In the Splatoon series, salmonids are typically viewed as enemies, but Little Buddy is friendly with their Inkling or Octoling companion and even useful in the game's story mode campaign.

Fans have loved Little Buddy from Splatoon 3 ever since they were first teased, so it makes sense that they would receive the plush treatment. The new plush will be available at the end of June as a part of the Splatoon 3 All Star Collection. While there is still time, more information, possibly including where fans can purchase one, will be revealed prior to its release. The Splatoon 3 plush will probably be sold through Japanese stores, but it's also very likely that it will be sold through foreign retailers.

Judd and Li'l Judd, the swimming versions of Inklings and Octolings, as well as some of the fans' favorite NPCs, like the games' news-reporting idols, have all been released as part of the All Star Collection. Fans will have to wait and see whether Shiver, Frye, and Big Man eventually add their names to the list of authorized plush toys.

Giving the playable character in Splatoon 3 a friendly Salmonid is an intriguing twist, especially considering how much more emphasis Salmon Run receives compared to Splatoon 2. The Splatoon 2 community loved Salmon Run, but many were disappointed by how little of the game's time it was actually playable. Salmon Run is now not only always accessible in Splatoon 3 but has also undergone a slight redux in the form of Big Run. Some players have been curious about the possibility of playable Salmonids at some point because of the possibility of having a small friendly Salmonid as a companion while battling aggressive Salmonids more than ever.

Splatoon is one of many well-liked Nintendo plush toys that have been around for a while. Fans can at least anticipate new adorable Splatoon 3 plush toys this year, even though it's unclear whether Splatoon will follow fellow Nintendo franchises like Pokemon and Animal Crossing in getting the Build-a-Bear treatment.
