New Apex Legends Bug Lets Players Charge Sentinel for Free

New Apex Legends Bug Lets Players Charge Sentinel for Free

Players of Apex Legends discover a new bug that makes the Sentinel much more potent after the Spellbound Collection Event is released.

Players of Apex Legends have found a brand-new Sentinel bug that enables them to charge the weapon for nothing. Although the Sentinel has had bugs in Apex Legends before, the most recent one makes the weapon much more useful in skirmishes in the battle royale.

Respawn Entertainment has launched the Spellbound Collection Event as players are in the middle of Apex Legends Season 15. While this latest update brings with it a ton of fresh cosmetics, the Control LTM, and private matches for all players, it also introduces a number of balance adjustments. Among the modifications, the developer has decreased from two to one the number of shield cells required to charge the Sentinel. Although this change was made to improve the Sentinel, an unintended modification to the gun may have made it too powerful.

After the launch of Apex Legends' new Spellbound Collection Event, players learned that the Sentinel could be charged for nothing, negating the need for shield cells to energize the sniper. The sniper can now fire Amped rounds, which deal significantly more damage, when it is charged, which is a significant change. A gold body shield must be equipped by players in order to use the free Sentinel charge, it should be noted.

This bug was even described in a Reddit post that flapjack626 shared. The player in the video only took a gold body shield from the floor loot in the Firing Range. Then, with no shield cells in their possession, they took a Sentinel from the nearby gun rack and started to charge it. They fired several shots at one of the test dummies after activating the gun, demonstrating that the Amped mechanic functioned as intended.

Naturally, the community for Apex Legends has been very interested in this most recent Sentinel bug. Over 1K people have already upvoted flapjack626's post, and many of them have discussed the consequences of this bug. For instance, some players thought that Respawn Entertainment might temporarily remove the gun from the game as a result of this bug. Others questioned whether the bug existed elsewhere besides the Firing Range. Following these inquiries, other users claimed they had tested it in the battle royale and had experienced the same outcomes.

It'll be interesting to see how the developer reacts to the latest Sentinel bug. It appears to be an unintended bug that came with the update because the patch notes make no mention of charging the weapon for free. While some players want the gun's abilities to be improved, this might be going too far. It is unclear, however, when a fix will be released given that Respawn Entertainment has been battling other problems, such as unreliable servers since the start of Apex Legends' Spellbound Collection Event.

Apex Legends is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
