Capcom's E3 2021 Showcase Announcement: Highlighted Everything

Every announcement made at Capcom's E3 2021 Showcase featured a variety of thrilling trailers for new games as well as future DLC for games that had previously been published.

Capcop's 2021 Showcase

Capcom returns to E3 2021, an organization that has grown from strength to strength in recent years. The third day of E3 2021 was quite quiet. The previous two days of the expo were jam-packed with thrilling game announcements, but Monday's program was a touch more low-key.

While Capcom has already had a successful year in terms of releases, having published the critically praised Resident Evil: Village and Monster Hunter Rise, nothing is known about its upcoming roster. So now was the publisher's chance to capitalize on that momentum on the biggest platform.

It didn't exactly set the world on fire. The 30-minute program focused on the company's forthcoming lineup of games and improvements. In truth, it only covered four games while also providing some esports news. The company has previously informed fans that they will see recognizable footage during their E3 2021 presentation, but there may be a few surprises in store. Here is a list of everything that has been announced-

Resident Evil Village

Capcom opened off the conference by sharing some new information about Village, the latest edition in the Resident Evil franchise, which premiered on May 7. Everyone who bought Resident Evil: Village will be able to play Resident Evil Re: Verse when it comes out in July. Resident Evil: Village is currently getting a new DLC.

Resident Evil Village will receive DLC, but we don't know anything else. Capcom stated that additional material is in the works, but did not elaborate on what it involves or when it will be available. Meanwhile, Resident Evil Re: Verse, a multiplayer game, will be released next month. The game was planned to be released with Resident Evil Village, but it was postponed at the last minute.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings Of Ruin

A new Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin narrative trailer features Red, the game's protagonist, as he receives a unique Wrathalos egg. The sequel's plot is driven by devastating attacks and strong connections of friendship, and Capcom has promised future cooperation between Wings of Ruin and Monster Hunter Rise. On June 25, a trial version of the game will be available. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will be released on July 9th.

We also learned more about the forthcoming Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin collaboration event. The “Capcom Collaboration” will introduce new layered armor for both hunters and palicoes in both games.

Monster Hunter Rise 3.1 Version

Monster Hunter Rise, a Nintendo Switch exclusive, will receive a slew of new armor and weaponry.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles follows Phoenix Wright's ancestor Ryunosuke Naruhodo, who has never been seen outside of Japan. Ryunosuke must show himself a skilled lawyer through a variety of riddles alongside his associate Herlock Sholmes.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles received a new trailer. Dance of Deduction and Summation Examination were the two new gameplay aspects highlighted during the demonstration. Herlock Sholmes (yeah, you read it correctly) may make big deductions thanks to the Dance of Deduction. By putting clues together in a mental ballet, players interact with non-player characters to break down their cases and achieve fresh conclusions. Summation Examination is a novel technique that allows participants to question the jury and impact their decision. To enhance their argument, players might point out faults in the jury's rationale.

In Summation Examination, players will try to persuade a panel of six jurors that their assumptions are erroneous. Each jury member will have to be scrutinized for inconsistencies. They're more inclined to listen to reason... if you can back up your arguments with proof. Ace Attorney fans will recognize this as an expansion of the regular courtroom combat. On July 27, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles will be released.

The Capcom Pro Tour will be back in 2021.

Capcom gave a quick update on the competitive landscape for Street Fighter V, including a preview of The Capcom Pro Tour 2021, which will lead up to The Capcom Cup. Each event has a prize fund of $5,000. The Pro Tour will consist of 32 tournaments spread over 19 countries. It is yet unknown if the events will take place in person.

While the revelation may have disappointed gamers hoping for a spectacular conclusion, it is a watershed moment for the fighting game community. This was a huge highlight for Capcom's esports backing, demonstrating the company's commitment to mainstreaming the sport.
