The Death Stranding Director's Cut will cost $49.99/€49.99, although those who already own the normal PS4 version can upgrade for $10/€10.

According to Jay Boor, Kojima Productions' Head of Publishing, Death Stranding Director's Cut has a plethora of new content and better gameplay features. We're adding new weapons, equipment, and vehicles, as well as additional modes, objectives, and regions to explore, extended stories, and UI improvements. Today, however, I wanted to take this opportunity to clarify a few points that have circulated since our teaser release at Summer Games Fest on June 10... If you missed it, you can see it here...

“PlayStation 4 console save data will be transferable,” said Jay Boor, head of publishing at Kojima Productions.

“We wanted to ensure that gamers, whatever of where they are in their journey, could continue up relatively where they left off when playing the PS4 version, while also allowing players who have already completed the game to hop to regions where new content and equipment can be discovered.”

Boor also noted that additional information on the new missions and expanded plot will be released in the coming weeks, but confirmed that the special Half-Life and Cyberpunk 2077 themed content contained in the PC version of Death Stranding will be included in the Director's Cut for PS5.
