The PSP store is closing today,but the games are still available to buy on PS3 and Vita.

The PSP shopping feature officially stops today, however games have now come up to be purchased from others store.

Today, we're delighted with the online shop PlayStation Portable which closes all areas for good, preventing the handheld owners from shopping for any games. Games may be purchased from both PS3 and Vita shops, though.

When Sony stated that the PSP Store had been shut down at the beginning of the year, all PSP games were expected not to be sold after the 2nd of July. But a revised statement (VGC) on the PlayStation website reads: "You may continue buying and playing PSP material accessible in shops of PS3 and PS Vita. You cannot, however, shop any more for PSP stuff through the in-game store."

Vita portable systems can also play digital PSP titles using backward compatibility, which means that many of these games are not gone for time, as previously believed. You may also buy these games and enjoy them on the platform they were meant for if you own a Vita or a PlayStation 3.

Players may still access the PSP Download List option and download previously purchased titles. Players are therefore potentially able to purchase new PSP games through PS3 and PS Vita shops, and then download them using their PSP Download List. 

Sony stated in March that it intended to shut down the PlayStation Store in summer at PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PlayStatus Portable.

The business took a partial turn in April following a reaction from the gamers, indicating that it wouldn't closer the PS3 or Vita stores anymore, but still planned to shut down PSP.

Sony also announced earlier this year the closing of the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita shops, but changed its decision because of a response from the company decision. Originally on 27 August they were supposed to close.

However, it is just a matter of time before Sony overturns its decision and shutters those outlets for good, posing preservation and accessibility questions. Those games must at the very least be available on other platforms, exactly as the PSP.
