Pokemon Unite is finally launching on mobile devices tomorrow, and developer TiMi Studios is making a few tweaks to celebrate. The Battle Pass will be updated with brand new Holowear outfits for a variety of Pokemon, but there are certain elements revealed in the announcement that appear quite fascinating to both existing and new players.

The free-to-play MOBA title appears to be more than just another short-lived Pokemon spinoff, having just celebrated a big milestone with free Aeos Tickets after verifying 9 million downloads on the Switch. Add to that the 7.5 million individuals who have pre-registered for the mobile release, and there are a lot of eyeballs on what the second Battle Pass has in store for trainers, as well as what new gameplay elements await them.

New Holowear fashions for Charizard, Garchomp, Gengar, Lucario, and Snorlax are seen in the Pokemon Unite video, among costumes that are currently available for purchase. Some of the most visually appealing costumes are Gengar as an astronaut and Garchomp as a cowboy. New clothing pieces to modify each player's own avatar are also immediately displayed. In addition, when the MOBA is released on mobile, it will receive a lot of improvements. These include the option to join and form a "Unite Squad" of up to 30 trainers, UI improvements, additional supported languages, and the ability to collaborate with others via crossplay.

The trailer does not reveal which Pokemon Unite Holowear styles will be included in the new Battle Pass, nor how many. Previously, there were only two styles accessible (Hip-Hop Pikachu and Captain-Style Cinderace), and trainers had to finish all 90 levels to obtain Cinderace's pirate-themed attire. Other Holowear options are available but must be purchased in-game or won by chance. Other goods available via the pass include trainer clothes, Aeos Tickets, and Item Enhancers. If you continue with the Season 1 Battle Pass pricing, the new one will cost 490 Aeos Gems, which is comparable to $7.99.

Pokemon Unite Update Improves the Sense of Paying to Win in the Game

Although new costumes are great, it is the new features that should get fans excited about the future of the MOBA. Including an integrated squad structure might aid lone players in climbing the Pokemon Unite Ranks. So far, solitary trainers have either weathered the hectic matching on their own or gone online in search of teams, with various degrees of success. For established squads, the move might improve communication among members and make it simpler to locate a preferred team outside of their small group when specific members are absent.

The squad system, on the other hand, might turn out to be yet another major improvement that Pokemon Unite needs. Long after the Switch's debut, there are still difficulties with Unite Moves and malfunctioning held objects that influence gameplay.

Pokemon Unite is currently available on Nintendo Switch and will be available on mobile on September 22.
