More than a year has passed since Capcom released Resident Evil 3 Remake on the market. Capcom has not created single-player content for the game since its launch, with the exception of a paid DLC focused on aesthetics and armament. Many RE3 Remake fans are undoubtedly already speculating about whether the survival-horror video game will get an update after recent developer activity was detected on the Steam database.
Despite the fact that Resident Evil 3 Remake does not include any new plot content, the game's community has plenty of mods to keep fans entertained. Many have come up with amusing changes that make the game more entertaining and interesting, while others try to improve the graphics. Lady Dimitrescu, a beloved RE8 character, has even taken the place of the protagonist Jill Valentine. Given that most players in Resident Evil Village are unable to handle Lady Dimitrescu, this gives a unique gameplay experience, even if they are playing a different game in the franchise.
Players of Resident Evil 3 Remake on Steam may have noticed that the page for the remake has been modified in the last few days, particularly beneath the Branches table. These branches, according to Steam, are typically used to store earlier versions of the game and even test new content or upgrades. The activity within the table is also labeled "QA," which could mean "quality assurance." This could indicate that Capcom is experimenting with something new. It's unclear whether this is never-before-seen stuff or simply patch updates. Players will also notice that the most recent update has the letters "TU1," which could be an allusion to the word "title update."

With no official word from Capcom on whether or not the Resident Evil 3 remake will get a sequel, fans will have to make do with hints like these. Given that the remake is one of the franchise's most successful titles, many fans may have hoped that the remastered edition would have additional plot content to set it different from the original. However, the RE3 Remake ended up omitting story information, to the displeasure of fans.
Resident Evil 3 fans, on the other hand, have a lot to look forward to from Capcom and the entire survival horror genre. The live-action picture Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City, which is based on the first two games, is generating a lot of buzzes. Hopefully, the film will be well-produced and well-received by moviegoers, as this might pave the way for a live-action film based on Resident Evil 3.
On PC, PS4, and Xbox One, Resident Evil 3: Remake is now available.
