Every massively popular game in the gaming world appears to be accompanied by an equally massive amount of effort on the part of players to find ways to break the game. This can be seen in games like Genshin Impact and Destiny 2, as well as more casual games like Nintendo's Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Amazon's New World is no exception, and given how new the MMORPG is, there are still plenty of bugs for players to exploit. Players in the New World are now breaking the game by taking advantage of a bug that allows them to stand around and be invincible while online.

Many fans of Amazon Games' MMO would agree that the game got off to a shaky start. Many new players were irritated by the game's server issues, and now New World has longer maintenance times, which continues to irritate fans who just want to play. Furthermore, the player base appears to enjoy causing problems amongst themselves, with faction wars and territorial disputes frequently discussed in the online community.

Players are now taking advantage of a recent New World glitch that allows them to remain online while standing around and being unstoppable. This may not appear to be much at first look, given that the glitch makes players immobile while invincible. However, because the majority of New World's gameplay revolves around three factions fighting for territory, having an indestructible toon in the middle of seizing a point in a contested citadel is a huge advantage. If the majority of players that are attempting to conquer a fort in-game use the glitch, they will almost certainly win at the conclusion of the time limit.

Gothalion, a Twitter user, pointed out the flaw and even tagged the official New World account in the tweet to alert them to the problem. Gothalion advised the development team to temporarily disable the New World faction warfare and publish an emergency maintenance alert to solve the invincibility bug. This will restore the game's fairness, which will likely gratify those who have first-hand experience with the invincibility bug.

Despite the fact that New World continues to have these flaws, it is nevertheless astonishing that the game has risen to the top of the Steam charts and has remained there since its release. Hopefully, the development team prioritizes addressing the bug, since this will likely help them maintain their large player numbers and maintain their fanbase's interest.

The PC version of New World is now available.
